Plain English — because trust is the whole point.
Your uploaded PDF is read in memory to extract the text, then discarded. We never write the PDF or its raw text to disk or a database.
After we show you the result, we store only non-identifying metadata about the run — how many clauses were found, which known traps matched, and a one-way hash of the text so we can spot duplicates. We do not store your name, address, or the report's wording.
Any retained metadata is purged after 30 days.
If you give us your email — for a copy or updates — we store just that, and never as a condition of seeing your Health Check.
If we ever earn a referral commission when you act on a recommendation, it costs you nothing and never changes what the Decoder tells you.
The Decoder is an educational tool. It doesn't give personalised financial advice or decide what is or isn't covered — always verify with your insurer.
